Hello Friends old and new! I just wanted to take a moment (a long winded moment) to introduce myself.

I’m Hannah, the owner and creator behind the shop!

Blessed with a mini of my own Peyton Elizabeth, two loving rambunctious Golden Retriever puppies Penny and Lacey, and a ginormous cuddly rabbit named Berry. We live in a little ‘vintage’ barn- red, fixer-upper home that we have recently (FINALLY!!) started to renovate – and I can’t wait to share the progress!

I was born with a passion for all types of art and an avid attention to detail (like at an OCD – perfectionist level). Anything that required drawing, painting, sculpting, designing, creating, Imagination, daydreaming, color, and decorating – you name it in the name of art - I was all about it! I followed that passion and focused on it from grade school, through high school, majored in it in college, focused my career around it, to now. Not to mention I come from a longline of entrepreneur artists. Did I mention that I was an artist !?
All that to say, this whole art/creative thing runs in my blood. I simply can’t help myself!

I spent 8 years as a visual merchandising manager for a large well-known company. I was grateful for the opportunity and loved the creative outlet/creative freedom it allowed me to have, but with my relentless entrepreneur wheels turning, adult ADD, and a restless “creative mind” pulling at my heartstrings, I knew it was time for me to bite the bullet and FINALLY chase MY dreams. With the unconditional love and support of my scattered-artist-brain visions from my family along with the extra little dose of confidence and push I needed; as of March 2018 I decided to open my artistically handcrafted home décor shop Birch&Vine. I’m so excited to see what God has in store for this little business of mine.

Along with being a full-time momma first; I design, cut, stain, hand-paint (like COMPLETELY hand-paint), process and ship/ deliver each of my pieces by hand from my home in Toledo, OH. As a work-at-home momma and business owner I’m always going going going, pushing the limits of sanity (and coffee intake), chasing after balance... sometimes even forgetting to put actual pants on. I absolutely LOVE my new “job”. It is the most challenging, most amazing experience ever and a dream come true. This crazy life is far from perfect, but it’s my kind of crazy perfect - and oh so good!

I put my heart and soul into each piece that heads out the door and am beyond blessed by your support and encouragement. I can’t wait to see these beauties travel to their forever home!
